KYLE BRIDGEMAN – CLUB CHAMPION

MENS GOLF FOR THE W/E OCTOBER 22ND 2023

What a monster week for the mens golf this week with the culmination of the club championships with Kyle Bridgeman winning the club championships for the second year running, more about the championships a little later.

On Tuesday 25 competed in a par competition with Peter Vallance winning with a score of +1 beating Geoff Brown on a countback with Steve McMahon coming in third on a score of 0.

On Thursday a great field of 74 played in the weekly stableford competition and as a result for the first time in a long time there were 3 divisions;

A Grade

1st: Kyle Bridgeman 40 points (h/c scr)

2nd: Graham Clark 36 points (h/c 11)

3rd: Ben Millott 35 points (h/c 2) on a countback

B Grade

1st: Dave Octigan 38 points (h/c 16)

2nd: Allan Agar 37 points (h/c 16)

3rd: Michael Aistrope 36 points (h/c 12) on a countback

C Grade

1st: Adrian Smith 39 points (h/c 24) on a countback

2nd: David McKenzie 39 points (h/c 29)

3rd: Adrian Cheer 38 points

A great round for Kylie the also included 2 eagles a real harbinger of things to come over the weekend.

On Saturday, the third round of the club championships was played and in conjunction the monthly medal (sponsored by Walshy’s Wiring) was played along with the Annual Medal of Medals.

There were 51 players many of whom were in the championships as well, with Camilo Garces winning both B Grade and the monthly medal.

A Grade

1st: Like Murray 70 nett

2nd: Dave Octigan 72 nett on a countback

3rd: John Koraus 72 nett

B Grade

1st: Camilo Garces 69 nett on a countback

2nd: Perrin Gooding 69 nett

3rd: Adrian Cheer 71 nett on a countback

Well done to Camilo on a great round and being able to beat his playing partner Perrin on a countback.

Sunday saw the culmination of the club championships with 34 playing in the final round, a competition was held in conjunction with championships with Adrian Cheer winning with a score of -5 from Christopher Purcell on -4 and Brad Grant finishing 3rd on -2 beating Zac Tanner on a countback.

The Club Champion this year is Kyle Bridgeman who had a great score of 287 over the 4 rounds which is only 3 over par for the 4 rounds.

After the final round the presentation of awards was held in front of big crowd in the clubhouse.

Well done to all who competed in the Club Championships and to our winners, the match play will be played over the next couple of weekends which will conclude the major events for the year.
