Mansfield Ladies Golf Report – 15-11-20

Fantastic Scoring by the Mansfield Lady Golfers.

Mansfield ladies are revelling in the spring golfing conditions, bringing in some great scores and doing damage to their handicaps this week.

Our week started on Tuesday, with a great field of 18 for a 9-hole stableford round and it was Robyn Baker who took the win and Div 1 with a great 20 points. Pauline Ahola was close behind with 19 points to be runner up. Division two prizes went to Jenny Koraus also scoring well with 19 points from Anne Tilbrook with 16.

On Wednesday, another amazing field of 32 headed out for their Summer Cup Stableford round. The standout winner was Lyn Poulson with a wonderful 44 points and not to be outdone, Sam Bailey had 40 points to be runner up. In Div 2, Anne Tilbrook cleaned up again with 38 points followed by Wendy Hunt with 37 points as runner up. Best on the odd holes was Sue Wilson (unlucky to not be a winner elsewhere with her 40 points) and best for holes 7 to 12 was Linda Brook. Line balls went down to 35 points.

On Thursday, the winner of the field of 7 for George Walker was Jenny Koraus with 18 points and finally on Saturday, 10 ladies took to the course for another Stableford round. This time it was Jackie Smithwick who excelled, with a great score of 41 to win the day from Jenny Koraus (again!!) with 38 points.
