• Ladies Golf Report week ending 26th June

  • Winter Blues

Another quiet week for the ladies at golf. The weather was too uninviting on Tuesday for anyone to play and Wednesday wasn’t shaping up well. However, 14 of us braved it and it ended up staying dry so we’d made the right decision!  Winner with a very nice 34 points given the heavy conditions was Sam Bailey, with the runner up, Linda Terry with 33 points. Very nice to finally break into the 30’s again I must say!  Third was Margie Franke-Williams with 31 and Pauline Ahola taking out the last of the prizes with 29.  Sam had a day out on the par 3’s, claiming the prizes on the 3rd, 7th and 16th!  Well done Sam your shorter game is clearly on target. Margie picked up the 2nd shot to the 12th.

Saturday wasn’t any more enticing for golf and only 3 ladies were brave enough – well done to Jackie Smithwick for winning with 32 points and to Millie Cumming and Marion Foster for just turning up!  And they say golf is a winter sport – I beg to differ!
