Men’s Golf Report – Week ending May 13th 2018

Tuesday’s event saw 31 players out participating for a stableford event.

The winner was Chris Durkin (32) with 41 points on a countback from Peter Dolling (20).

Ball rundown went to 35 on a countback. Nearest the pin on the third was Geoff Brown, on the seventh was Dave Octigan and on the sixteenth was Jeremy Drew. Best scores on the par fours was shared by Peter Dolling and Tony Crawford and best scores holes 16-18 was shared between Adrian Smith and Jeremy Drew.

Thursday’s event saw a field of 40 golfers braved the elements for the regular Stableford event with some excellent scores being returned. There were four players competing in the gold event.

The winner of Division One was Dave Octigan (14) with 39 points from Taki Murakami (12) with 38 points.

The winner of Division Two was Dave Haslam (30) with 40 points from Trevor West (24) with 39 points.

Ball run down went 36 points on a countback. Nearest the pins were Gary Henry on the third, Brad Grant on the seventh, Maurie Walsh on the ninth, Geoff Brown on the twelfth and Ray Findlay on the sixteenth.  Adam Holt collected the NTP second shot on the first, Ken Fisher picked up the NTP second shot on the tenth and Dan Robertson collected the NTP second shot on the seventeenth.

The rabbits were Martin Slack and Dave McKenzie.

The Gold event saw Graham Smith (27) win with 40 points.

 

 

On Friday the final of the Nolan Four ball was conducted, with Rod Sargent and Jarrod Heath defeating Maurie Walsh and Bill Moran 3/2

 

Saturday’s event saw the running of the annual Glen Mixed Foursomes event.

The event was won by Sheryl and Rod Sargent with a nett 105.75 from Lesley Anderson and Sam Sandhu with 107.50 nett.

Line balls went to Sue Wilson and Phil Conway, Sam Bailey and Steve Chisholm, Millie Cumming and Brad Grant, and also Lorraine and Bob Cullen.

Nearest the pin on the third was Rod/Sheryl Sargent, on the seventh was Lyn Holland/Bob speed and on the sixteenth was Lesley Anderson/Sam Sandhu.

A stableford event was also held with Ross Penny (9) winning with 37 points.
