Men’s Golf Report – Week ending July 1st 2018

Congratulations this week go to Mark Jones for his win in the June Monthly Medal.

 

 

Tuesday’s event saw 25 players out enjoying some sunny winter weather for a stableford event.

The winner was Trevor Wright (16) with a great 41 points from Nick Siperki (14) with 39 points.

Ball rundown went to 33 on a countback. Nearest the pin on the third was Brad Grant and on the sixteenth was Fred Rogers. Best scores on the ODD holes was shared by Trevor Wright and Neil Walker.

 

 

 

Thursday’s event saw a great field of 49 golfers fronting the starter for the regular Stableford event with some good scores being returned. There were three players competing in the gold event.

The winner of Division One was Brad Grant (8) with a score of 39 points on a countback from Alan Agar (17) also with 39 points.

The winner of Division Two was Graham Smith (33) with great score of 42 points from Beau Purcell (24) with 41 points.

Ball run down went 35 points on a countback. Nearest the pins were Robin Pratt on the third, Graham Smith on the seventh, Peter Vallance on the ninth and on the twelfth and Robin Pratt on the sixteenth. Steve McMahon collected NTP second shot on the first, whilst Peter Vallance having a great day firing at the pins picked NTP second shot on both the seventeenth and eighteenth holes.

The rabbits were Rob Healy and Damien Ryan.

The Gold event saw Geoff Lowry (30) win with 39 points.

 

Saturday’s event saw a field of 34 players contesting the June medal in very cool conditions.

The winner and June Medallist was Mark Jones (9) with a great score of nett 68 from Fred Rogers (17) with a nett 71.

Nearest the pin on the third was Ross Penny, on the seventh was Mark Bettany and on the sixteenth was Sam Sandhu. Bill Parsons collected the NTP 2^nd shot on 18^th.  Best score on the Par 4’s went Shaun Wade, and Ken Fisher collected the Best Score hole 15-18.
