• Men’s Golf Report – Week ending July 15th

  • Tuesday’s event saw 22 players out in some winter sunshine for a stableford event.

    The winner was Lester Cameron (16) from Beaufort Golf Club with 40 points from Bob Speed (24) with 39 points.

    Ball rundown went to 30 on a countback. Nearest the pin on the third was Oliver Pearson, on the ninth was Lester Cameron and on the sixteenth was Nick Siperki.

    Rob Healy kept his eye on the ball on the 3rd.

    Thursday’s event saw a field of 52 golfers meandering around the course for the regular Stableford event with some good scores being returned. There were three players competing in the gold event.

    The winner of Division One was Roger Eddy (10) with a great 42 points from Robert Healy (20) with 40 points.

    The winner of Division Two was Gordon Jeffs (36) with 40 points from Dave “Skipper” Wilson (27) with 38 points.

    Ball run down went 36 points on a countback. Nearest the pins were Mark Bettany on the third, Sam Sandhu on the seventh, Adam Holt on the ninth, Shaun Wade on the twelfth and Tony Pridham on the sixteenth.  Kane Blunt picked up the NTP second shot on the seventeenth with an eagle. The best score on Par Threes was shared between Martin Slack, Gary Henry and Gordon Jeffs, whilst best score on holes 16-18 was shared between Charlie Heath and Gordon Jeffs. The rabbits were Geoff Morris and Neil Walker.

    The Gold event saw Geoff Lowry (30) win again with 39 points.

     

    Saturday saw a rather frosty start to the Stableford event, with only 36 players out and about. This included visitors from The National, Box Hill and RACV Cape Schanck golf clubs.

    The winner was Shaun Wade (10) with a a great 43 points from Chris Kerr (26) with a good 41 points,

    The ball rundown went to 36 points on a countback.

    Nearest the pin on the third was Rod Sargent, on the seventh and the ninth was Peter Vallance, on the twelfth was Daryl Horwood and Dan Robertson was closest on the sixteenth.

    Best Score holes 5-12 was won by Geoff Brown.
