  • Congratulations to Lyn Poulson and Peter Hunt upon winning the Glenn Foursomes event on Saturday.

    The Midweek Results

    Tuesday’s fine weather brought out 33 players to contest a stableford event.
    The winner was Ridley Plummer (10) with 39 points from Peter Barnes (17) with 36 points.
    Ball rundown went to 30 points on a countback. The best score on the par threes was Peter Barnes. The best score on every third hole was shared by Graham Mear and Peter Barnes.

    Wednesday night’s chook run went to Phil Conway with 19 points.

    Thursday’s event saw a great field of 79 windswept souls fronting the starter for the regular Stableford event with some great scores being returned.

    The winner of Division One was David Octigan (11) with a score of 38 points on a countback from Rod Sargent (1) also with 38 points.
    The winner of Division Two was Shane O’Brien (18) with a great score of 39 points from Geoff Morris (17) also with 39 points on a countback.
    The winner of Division Three was James Herridge (24) with the score of the day – 40 points from Tom Swan (27) with 36 points.
    Ball run down went 33 points on a countback.
    The best scores on the par three’s was Rod Sargent, whilst the best score of the par fours was shared by Mark Jones and Jarrod Heath. The secret nine went to Domingo Diaz, and the best score on the par fives was split between Geoff Brown and Dan Robertson.
    There were two rabbits for the day, being Alan Parrott and Bob Cullen.
    The Gold event had four competitors, with the winner being Bob Speed (15) with 40 points.
    The Golf Premier League results were:
    Sicarios (112 points) Def Snake Pit (100 points)
    The Internationals (102 points) Def BLM (100 points)
    The Freds (91 points) lost to The Spuds (104 points)
    TMG’s (94 points) lost to X-Factor (107 points)
    This now means that in the semi-finals this week – Sicarios play The Internationals, and Snake Pit play X-Factor.

    The weekend results

    Saturday’s events were the Glenn Family Mixed Foursomes, and there was a stableford round conducted also.
    In the Glenn Foursomes we had the largest field in some years with 27 pairs competing. The winners were Lyn Poulson and Peter Hunt with a nett 102 from Jenny and John Koraus with nett 105.5. In third place were Lorraine and Bob Cullen with nett 106.5.
    Line balls went down to nett 111.5.

    With fifteen players in the stableford field some excellent scores were again returned.
    The winner was Rob Healy (15) with an excellent 40 points. Runner Up was Paul Richardson (19) with 38 points. Ball run down went to 29 on a countback.
