• Men’s Golf Report Week Ending 7th March 2021

  • The Midweek Results

    Tuesday had the gents playing a stableford round with 34 players in the competition enduring rather windy conditions.
    The winner was Alan Parrott (12) with 35 points from John McCaskill (31) with 33 points.
    Ball rundown went to 29 points on a countback. The nearest the pins on the par threes were Domingo Diaz on the third, Nick Siperki on the ninth and Chris Leaman on the sixteenth. The hidden Holes winner was Tony Crawford, whilst the runners up were Shane O’Brien, Gary Johnson and Alan Parrott.

    Thursday’s event excellent weather brought out 66 players for the regular Stableford event with some great scores being returned. There were also five competitors in the Gold event.
    The winner of Division One was Rob Pratt (15) with a great 41 points from Rob Dundas (7) with 40 points.
    The winner of Division Two was Tom Nicol (24) with 40 points from Perrin Gooding (27) with 39 points.
    Ball run down went 34 points on a countback.
    The nearest the pins were Perrin Gooding on the third, John Hawkes on the seventh, Tony Tehan on the ninth, Shaun Wade on the twelfth and Mic Davis on the sixteenth. NTP second shot on the eighteenth was Shane O’Brien. The best score on holes 1 thru 6 was shared by Tom Nicol, Tom Swan and Geoff Brown. The best score on holes 7 thru 12 was Rob Pratt, whilst Rob Fankhauser was the best on holes 13 thru 18.
    The winner of the Gold Event was Kevin Jacobs (20) with 41 points from Bob Speed (12) with 32 points.
    The two rabbits drawn were Laurie Harcus and Daniel Cooper.

    The weekend results

    Saturday brought on some more fine weather and a stableford competition with 50 players competing..
    The winner of Division One was Geoff Brown (8) with 38 points from Andrew Armsden (13) with 37 points.
    The winner of Division Two was Perrin Gooding (26) with 40 points from Paul Richardson (18) with 39 points.
    Ball run down went 32 points on a countback.
    The nearest the pins were Phil Conway on the third, Ken Neale on the seventh, Dave Smithwick on the ninth, Josh Green on the twelfth and Oliver Shaw on the sixteenth. NTP second shot on the eighteenth was Oliver Pearson. The best score on holes 7 thru 10 was shared by Kyle Bridgeman, Ross Penny and Rod Sargent. On holes 15 thru 18 the best score was by Oli Shaw and Rod Sargent. Rod Sargent also cleaned out the eagles nest with a great shot on the seventeenth.
