• Men’s Golf Report – Week ending 3rd November 2019

  • The Midweek results

    Tuesday’s event saw a field of 23 players out contesting a par event.
    The winner was Geoff Morris (19) with plus four from Bob Speed (23) with plus three. Ball rundown went to minus one. Nearest the pin on the third was Geoff Brown, on the seventh was Brendan Egan, on the twelfth was Tony Froud and on the sixteenth was Taki Murakami. The NTP third shot on fifteenth hole was Dave Octigan, whilst Dan Robertson was NTP second shot on the eighteenth.

    Thursday’s event saw a large field of 81 very happy golfers fronting the starter for the regular Stableford event, as well as three gold participants.
    The winner of Division One was Dan Robertson (0) with 39 points (three under the card) from Tony Pridham (8) with 38 points.
    The winner of Division Two was Adrian Smith (23) with 39 points on a countback from Greg Johnstone (15) also with 39 points.
    The winner of Division Three was Peter Hunt (31) with 42 points from Ken Fisher (33) with 40 points.
    Ball run down went 35 points on a countback.
    Nearest the pins were Domingo Diaz on the third, Cec McIntosh on the seventh, Blair St Anne on the ninth, Rob Pratt on the twelfth and Adrian Smith on the sixteenth. NTP second shot on the eighteenth was Maurie Walsh, whilst on the fourth the NTP third was Dean Seccull. The NTP third shot on the fifteenth went to Adam Holt with an eagle. There were two rabbits for the day, and they were Gary Johnson and Martin Slack.
    The Gold event saw Les Wood (33) taking out the event with 37 points.
    The Golf Premier League semi-final results were:

    Young Guns (110 points) DEF Premium Unleaded (101 points).

    The Weekend Results

    Saturday’s event saw a field of 18 players contesting a Stableford event in rather damp conditions.
    The winner was Shaun Wade (7) with a fantastic score of 43 points (even Par) from Dion Sheahan (13) with a score of 42 points. Ball run down went to 34 points on a countback.
