• Men’s Golf Report Week Ending 31st May 2020

  • Congratulations to Craig Walsh upon winning the March Monthly Medal, and also to Mark Jones for an eagle on the tenth on Saturday.

    The Midweek results

    Tuesday’s event was a Stroke competition with a field of 38 competitors.
    The winner was Tony Crawford (6) with a nett 72 from Geoff Brown (9) a nett 73. Line balls went down to nett 81 on a countback. The winner of the hidden holes was Sam Sandhu

    Thursday’s event was the regular stableford competition with a great field of 73 competitors along 4 gentlemen competing in the Gold event
    The winner of Division One was Oli Pearson (+2) with 38 points (two under the card) from runner-up Rod Sargent (4) with 36 points on a countback form third place Brad Grant (9) also with 36 points.
    The winner of Division Two was Sam Sandhu (15) with 36 points from runner-up Gary Johnson (16) with 35 points and Kerry Hartwig (15) in third possie with 34 points.
    The winner of Division Three was John Hawkes (21) with 34 points on a countback from runner-up John Gilson (23) with 34 points with Bill Moran (25) in third position with 30 points.
    The Gold event winner was Les Wood (28) with 31 points.
    Line balls went down to 32 points on a countback.

    The Weekend Results

    Saturday’s event was the March Monthly Medal.
    A total of 62 energetic golfers turned out for the day, with winners being:
    Division one winner and March Medal was Craig Walsh (7) with a great nett 68 from runner-up Ross Penny (8) with a nett 70.
    Division Two winner was James Tehan (26) with a nett 71 from runner-up Ben Martin (16) with a nett 75.
    Line ball went down nett 78 on a countback.
    The JD Perks scratch for March was won by Mark Jones and the May winner was Blair St Anne.

    With the current conditions changing day by day, I would remind ALL players to check the Local Rules board to confirm what changes have been made.
