  • Congratulations to Dean Seccull upon winning the Bill Reardon Matchplay final

    The Midweek results

    Tuesday’s event was a Stableford competition with a field of 29 competitors.
    The winner was Steve Shinns (27) with a great 39 points from James Tehan (25) with 36 points on a countback.
    Line balls went down 30 points on a countback. The best score on the Par 3’s was John Koraus.

    Thursday’s event was the regular stableford competition with a field of 61 competitors along with 5 players competing in the Gold event
    The winner of Division One was Graham Mear (12) with 39 points from Brendon Smith (12) with 38 points.
    The winner of Division Two was Alan Eustace (16) with 43 points from Fred Rogers (18) with 38 points.
    The winner of Division Three was Peter Cullen (31) with 32 points from Tom Swan (26) with 31 points.
    The Gold event winner was Graham Smith (21) with 31 points.
    Line balls went down to 35 points on a countback.
    The best score on the Par 3’s was Geoff Payne, on the Par 4’s was Alan Eustace and on the Par 5’s was Brendon Smith.
    The two rabbits for the day were Jarrod Heath and Phil Conway.

    The Weekend Results

    Saturday’s event was a stableford competition.
    A total of 63 ardent golfers turned out for the day, with some great scores being returned.
    The Division One winner and continuing his great form was Graham Mear (11) with a great 41 points from runner-up Mark Bettany (5) with 38 points.
    The Division Two winner was Paul Lange (18) with 39 points from runner-up Bill Parsons (16) with 37 points.
    The Division Three winner was Steve Shinns (26) with 38 points from runner-up Perrin Gooding (28) with 37 points. Line balls went down to 33 points on a countback.
    The best score on the par 4’s was Mark Bettany, whilst the best score on the front nine was Graham Mear.

    Sunday saw the final of the Bill Reardon Memorial Matchplay being conducted.
    The winner of the event was Dean Seccull over Rod Sargent 8 and 7.

    With the current conditions changing day by day, I would remind ALL players to check the Local Rules board to confirm what changes have been made.
