• Men’s Golf Report – Week ending 29th July 2018

  • Congratulations this week go to Ross Penny for his win in the July Monthly Medal.

     

    Tuesday’s event saw 20 players out enjoying some winter weather for a stableford event.

    The winner was Brad Grant (8) with a great 41 points from Graham Smith (32) with 36 points on a countback.

    Ball rundown went to 33 on a countback. Nearest the pin on the third was Taki Murakami, on the seventh was Nick Siperki and on the sixteenth was Brad Grant. NTP second shot on the eighteenth was Oliver Pearson. Best scores on holes 7-12 was won by Graham Smith.

     

    Thursday’s event saw a great field of 49 golfers fronting the starter for the regular Stableford event with some good scores being returned. There were three players competing in the gold event.

    The winner of Division One was Oliver Pearson (2) with a fantastic score of 43 points (five under par) from Alan Eustace (15) with 39 points.

    The winner of Division Two was Perrin Gooding (28) with 38 points from Warren Shepherd (36) with 37 points.

    Ball run down went 35 points on a countback. Nearest the pins were Steve McMahon on the third, Tony Pridham on the seventh, Brad Grant on the ninth, on the twelfth was David Octigan and on the sixteenth was Don Clutterbuck. Oliver Pearson picked NTP second shot on both the seventeenth.

    The rabbits were Geoff Lowry and Geoff Morris.

    The Gold event saw Les Wood (33) win with 37 points.

     

    Saturday’s event saw a field of 39 players contesting the July medal on an unusually warm winter’s day sponsored by Keep Active Myotherapy.

    The winner and July Medallist was Ross Penny (10) with a great score of nett 68 on a countback from Rob Healy (19) also with a nett 68

    Nearest the pin on the third was Rod Sargent, on the seventh was Mark Bettany, on the ninth was Kane Blunt, the twelfth was collected by Rod Sargent and on the sixteenth was Dan Robertson. Rod Sargent won the NTP second shot on the eighteenth, whilst Brad Grant picked up the NTP second shot on the seventeenth.

    Best score on the Par 3’s went Sam Sandhu, and eight players shared the Best Score holes 16-18
