    The Midweek Competitions

    Tuesday’s weather brought out 25 players to contest a stableford event.
    The winner was Chris Leaman (14) with a score of 39 points from Geoff Morris (19) with 38 points.
    Ball rundown went to 32 points on a countback. The hidden holes winner was Graham Smith.

    Thursday’s event saw a fantastic field of 80 very happy souls fronting the starter for the regular Stableford event with some fantastic scores being returned. There were four players contesting the Gold event
    The winner of Division One was Jarrod Heath (13) with a great score of 43 points from Mic Davis (13) with a good score 41 points.
    The winner of Division Two was Adam Holt (16) also with a great score of 43 points from Laurie Harcus (23) with a good score of 42 points.
    The winner of Division Three was Dave “Skipper” Wilson (28) having a great score of 43 points John Plummer (26) with a good score of 42 points.
    Ball run down went 38 points on a countback. Nearest the pins were Rob Healy on the third, Dave Wilson on the seventh, Dave Haslam on the ninth, Gary Johnson on the twelfth and Shaun Wade on the sixteenth. Nearest the pin second shot on the eighteenth was collected by Dean Seccull, Chris Anderson was nearest the pin second shot on the tenth and Tony Pridham collected the NTP second shot on the seventeenth. The Gold event winner was a new combatant Tony Froud (26) with a great Gold score of 47 points.
    There were two rabbits for the day, being Bill Moran and Geoff Morris.

    The Weekend Results

    Saturday’s event was the October monthly medal as well as the Medal of Medals. The third round of the club championships was also played.
    The winner of Division One was Mark Jones (4) with a nett 70 from Mick Cooksey (14) with a nett 71.
    The winner of Division Two and the Monthly Medal was Graham Mear (15) with a nett 69 from Jeremy Veneman (20) also with a nett 71.
    Ball run down went to nett 76 on a countback. Nearest the pins were Kane Blunt on the third, Peter Sargeant on the seventh, Mark Bettany on the ninth, Brandon Kay on the twelfth, and Mark Bettany on the sixteenth. The second shot on the eighteenth was Brandon Kay, NTP second shot on the tenth was Craig Walsh, whilst closest third shot on the fifteenth was Mark Jones. Mark Jones took out the Austin Redfern Medal of Medals and also the JD Perks with a gross 74.

    Sunday’s event was the final round of the Club championships.
    The winner of Division One was Mark Pearson (12) with a nett 68 on a countback from Tony Pridham (11) also with a nett 68.
    Ball run down went to nett 74 on a countback. Nearest the pins were Paul Cougle on the third, Dave Octigan on the seventh, Nick Siperki on the ninth, Fred Rogers on the twelfth, and Shaun Grant on the sixteenth. The second shot on the eighteenth was Sam Sandhu.
