    The Midweek Results

    Tuesday’s great weather brought out 36 players to contest the 4 Person Ambrose Gold Tee Challenge.
    The Gross winners were the team of Mark Bettany, Mike Harrison, Alan Parrott and Tim Reilly with a score of 53 off the stick.
    The winning team in the nett event was Dave Kynnersley, Nathan Kynnersley, Gerry O’Hara and Ben Martin with a score of 48.67.
    Line balls went down to 51.37 nett.

    Thursday’s event saw a great field of 69 golfing enthusiasts fronting the starter for the regular Stableford event with some excellent scores being returned, along with the return of nearest the pins.
    The winner of Division One was John Koraus (16) with 40 points from Tony Crawford (7) also with 40 points on a countback.
    The winner of Division Two and best score of the day was evergreen Neil Walker (28) with 41 points from Peter Hunt (31) with 40 points.
    Ball run down (20 of them) went down to 34 points on a countback.
    The best score on holes 7 thru 12 was shared by Dave Smithwick and Neil Walker. The nearest the pins on the par threes were Sam Sandhu on the third, Geoff Morris on the seventh, John Gilson on the ninth, Tony Crawford on the twelfth and John Hickey on the sixteenth. Nearest the pin second shot on the eighteenth was Rob Dundas.
    The winner of the Gold Event was Bob Speed (12) with 30 points.
    There were two rabbits for the day, being Jimmy Herridge and Nick Jones.

    The weekend results

    Saturday’s event was the December Monthly Medal sponsored by Alliance Insurance with 49 competitors in the field.
    The winner of Division One was Michael Cooksey (10) with a nett 69 from Dave Octigan (9) with a nett 71 from third placed Geoff Brown with a nett 71 on a countback.
    The winner of Division Two was Rob Healy (14) with a nett 71 from second placed Steve Chisholm (14) on a countback also with a nett 71. In third place was John Koraus (15) with a nett 72.
    The Division Three and Monthly Medal winner and best score of the day went to Aaron Knight (20) with a nett 68. Second place was taken out by Peter Hood (22) with a nett 72 on a countback from third placed Adrian Smith (21) also with nett 72.
    Ball run down went to nett 80. The nearest the pins were on the third Perrin Gooding, on the seventh Nick Siperki, on the ninth Laurie Harcus and on the twelfth Tony Morse. Brandon Kay was nearest the pin second shot on the eighteenth.
    The JD Perks best scratch of the day went to Brandon Kay with a 76 gross on a countback.
