• Men’s Golf Report – Week ending 18th February 2018

    Now for this week’s results.

     

    Tuesday’s event saw 35 players out participating for a stroke event.

    The winner was Adrian Smith (24) with a great nett 65 from his brother Graham Smith (30) with a nett 67.

    Ball rundown went to nett 74. Nearest the pin on the twelfth was Alan Eustace and on the 16th was Brad Grant. The Pro Pin was also collected by Brad Grant. Best score on the par fours went to Graham Smith.

     

     

    Wednesday’s nine hole event was a stroke event from the GOLD tees. The winner was Aaron Sargent from Jimmy Herridge.

     

    Thursday’s event saw a great field of 70 happy golfers fronting the starter for the regular Stableford event with some hot scores being returned. There were players competing in the gold event.

    The winner of Division One was Tony Pridham (11) with a fantastic 43 points from Michael Cooksey (13) with 41 points.

    The winner of Division Two was Beau Purcell (26) with 40 points from Charlie Heath (21) on a countback.

    Ball run down went 35 points on a countback. Nearest the pins were Michael Harrison on the seventh, Nick Siperki on the ninth, Robert Purcell on the 12th and Fred Rogers on the 16th, and Michael Cooksey collected the NTP on the 18th.  The Pro Pin on the third was collected by Damien Ryan. Best score on the par threes went to Maurie Walsh, whilst Shaun Wade collected NTP second shot on the tenth.

    The rabbits were Geoff Morris and John Christopher.

    The Gold event saw Frank Zeidler (26) win with 41 points.

     

    Saturday’s event saw a field of 43 players out contesting a stableford event.

    The winner of Division One was Mark Jones (8) with 43 points from Clive Marsden (12) with 41 points.

    The winner of Division Two was Patrick Marks (17) with 38 points on a countback from Aaron Sargent (32).

    Ball rundown went to 36 points on a countback. Nearest the pin on the seventh was Clive Marsden, on the ninth was Ross Penny, on the twelfth was Mark Pearson and on the sixteenth was Perrin Gooding. The pro pin on the third went to Rob Fankhauser with Aaron Sargent collecting the NTP 2nd shot on 18th.  NTP 2nd shot on the 17th was won by Rob Fankhauser, and best scores holes 7-12 was shared by Maurie Walsh and Craig David.
