Men’s Golf News Week Ending 18th July 2021

Midweek Results

Tuesday saw a Stableford competition being conducted with 19 players competing.
The winner was Peter Dolling (23) with 37 points from Shaun Wade (6) with 35 points.
Ball rundown went to 32 points on a countback. The nearest the pins on the par threes were Laurie Harcus on the third and Alan Parrott on the sixteenth.

Thursday’s competition was a four person Gentsomes event with 46 competitors out enjoying the day.
The winners were the team of Taki Murakami, Perrin Gooding, Steve Daykin and Trevor West with a score of 131 points.
Runners-Up were the combination of Danny Oliver, Shane Brook, Adam Holt and Phil Conway with a score of 130 points.
Third position went to the team of John Quinn, Ian Jones, Cec McIntosh and John Saggers with a score of 128 points.
Ball rundown went to 127 points on a countback. These were the teams of Geoff Morris, Allan Agar, Geoff Brown and Gary Johnson, along with Warren Shepherd, Ross Vaughan, Don Clutterbuck and Stuart Jarvis.
The rabbits for the day were Laurie Harcus and Daryl Horwood.

Saturday was a non-event owing to the lockdown.

Sunday 8th August – Club Matchplay Finals 36 holes (A Grade), 27 holes B, C and D grades. commence at 9.30am
