• Ladies Golf – Week ending July 15th

  • The ladies were again out in numbers to take advantage of the sunny days. Tuesday’s 9  hole Stableford game had 4 players with Kay Rose winning with 13 points.

     

    Wednesday’s play was a stroke event with a good field of 18 ladies competing. Sue Parsons with a nett 75 was the winner with Jenny Foster coming in second with a nett 77. Line balls went to Shelly Comerford 77, Louise Calvert-Jones 79, Margie Franke-Williams 79, Linda Terry 81, Nicki Cooper 82, Marg Knapp 82, Alison McKenzie 82 and Sue Wilson 84.  Margie Franke- Williams had the least putts over the 18 holes and Alison McKenzie  won nearest the pin on the 3rd. The best score over holes 13-18 in Division one was Nicki Cooper, and in Division two was Jenny Foster. Norma Friday showed her versatility with any club, winning the after game chipping contest.

    Stableford was the game on Thursday with only 3 ladies playing, Kay Rose again taking the honours for the 9 hole event with 10 points, from Linda Brook with 8 points. Another sunny day on Saturday and 9 players turned out for the Stableford event. Linda Terry won on a count back from Shelly Comerford, both notching up 30 points. Line balls went to Lyn Holland with 29 points, Lesley Anderson with 27 points, Louise Calvert-Jones with 26 points and Sheryl Sargent with 25 points.  Nearest the pin on the 3rd was Lyn Holland.

    Members are reminded that our Hamper Raffle effort for Cancer Research is happening now and donations for the Hampers are greatly appreciated. The 3 hamper winners will be drawn on Cancer Bowl Day which is Wednesday August 1st . Hit off time is 10am. If you cannot play, come and share an afternoon tea after the game and together we will remember those we have lost to cancer.
