• Ladies Golf Report – Week ending June 16th 2019

  • Weather puts a Dampener on Ladies Golf”

With quite a lot of rain in the last week or so, things have slowed down for our lady golfers. Eleven ladies ventured out on Wednesday however, only to get washed out after nine holes. The result of that shortened competition saw Marion Mitchell coming in with net 40, winning on countback to Linda Brook, while Sam Bailey won the nearest to the pin on the 3rd.

On Saturday in slightly fairer weather, 10 ladies contested the stroke round. It was lovely to see Marion Foster returning to the course and winning with a nett 78 in Div 2, while Sue Parsons took out Div 1, with 79 nett. Line balls went to Marion Sargeant (79), Sam Bailey (84) and Christine Fraser (84). Sue Parsons won the putting comp.

Thirteen of our ladies are travelling to Myrtleford this week to contest the NE Championships and I hope to be able to report of their successes next week!
