• Ladies Golf Report – Week ending February 26th 2017

  • Friday takes medal

    NORMA Friday secured the monthly medal on Wednesday with a good score of 71 nett, on a countback from Sam Bailey.

    Second in Division One was Shelly Comerford on 72 and Marg Franke-Williams secured second in Division Two, also scoring 72.

    Special prizes were spread among the field, with only Sue Parsons doubling up with closest putt and overall putting.

    Millie Cumming won nearest the pin on the seventh and Andrea Marsden took the 16th.

    Marg Franke-Williams was the Hidden Holes winner, Robyn Baker won the Shootout and Sheryl Sargent won the Pro Pin third.

    Line balls went down to 78 and were won by Millie Cumming, Donna Sedgman, Sue Parsons, Sheryl Sargent, Meg Broomfield, Andrea Marsden, Linda Terry and Gayle Wells.

    Tuesday’s nine hole again proved popular and was won by Marion Sargeant with 16 points from Lorraine Cullen on 13.

    Shirley Nolan won the day on Thursday in the nine hole stableford with 17 points from Donna Sedgman on 16.

    Saturday’s stroke round went to Millie Cumming with 80 nett.

    Andrea Marsden won nearest the pin on the third and also took out the birdie prize.

    By the time the paper hits the streets, the ladies’ Pennant teams will have played their first round of matches and will have some idea how the season is going to go.
