• Ladies Golf Report – Week ending 8th September 2019

  • A busy week in golf both at home and away. Glenis Skinner continues to produce some lovely golf, taking out the comps on both Tuesday and Wednesday. On Tuesday it was a small field for the stableford comp with Glenis winning on a countback from Annie Watkins.

    Presidents Day Ambrose Fun

On Saturday it was Presidents day – an annual event to honour and acknowledge our Club President, currently Nikki Coffey. The weather was not looking great at the start and just 24 were prepared to take the risk of getting wet but the golfing gods were kind to us and we stayed relatively dry after all. Those that did play enjoyed a lovely BBQ cooked by our President prior to heading out in mixed or Men’s Ambrose teams. Winners on the day was the pairing of Mark Jones and Donna Sedgman with a fantastic score of 58.5. Runners Up were Linda Terry and Mick Davis with 65. Nikki arranged a couple of novelty skill tests as well. The straightest drive was won by Sam Sandhu and the chipping contest won by Cam Lester. A fun day had by all.
