  • “Calvert-Jones Wins Monthly Medal”

Ladies Euroa Bowl Winners. Gayle Wells, Linda Terry and Robyn Baker

The Spring weather on Saturday was conducive for Louise Calvert-Jones to win the Monthly Medal, sponsored by Davon’s Hair Room, from 10 other ladies.  Louise won with a respectable 74 net from Lorraine Cullen with 75 net.

The Pro Pin on the 3rd was won by Robyn Baker and Sam Bailey won the putting with only 26 putts.

Six ladies played Tuesday’s Stableford competition however Anne Watkins continued her domination of this event, winning with a lovely 18 points.

Wednesday was Captain’s Day and what a fun day it was.  We had 23 ladies play supporting our ladies Captain, Linda Terry.  The competition was Stableford 6,6,6, with a twist.  This meant every 6 holes  you had to add then multiply you and your partners scores and finally, use the best score of the two.  It was great fun but no good if on the multiplication holes you had 4 points and your partner had nil.  This meant your score was nil.  What a waste of a good score!

Millie Cumming and Lesley Anderson worked it all out and won on the day with Patsy Smiles and Nikki Coffey as runners up.

Linda and her partner Michael, put on a delicious barbecue after the game.  A big thank you to them both for a great day.
