• Ladies Golf Report – Week ending 17th November 2019

  • Can’t Beat Spring Golf

Despite nine ladies being off in New Zealand playing some great courses around Queenstown this week , it was pleasing to see 16 of our ladies at home, teeing off on Wednesday. Winner of the stableford round was Glenis Skinner with 36 and runner up was Millie Cumming with 35. Line balls went to Lesley Anderson 35, Linda Brook and Lyn Poulson 32, Gayle Wells 31, Lorraine Cullen and Sam Bailey both 30 and Wendy Hunt 29. Nearest the pins on both the 3rd and 7th was Gayle Wells and the closest 3rd shot on the 18th was Donna Sedgman.
On Thursday Sam Bailey was the winner of the nine hole round with a lovely 19 points.
We have started playing our “friendly” 4BBB Summer Pennant round robin against Bright, Jubilee and Myrtleford this month. Sadly our results have been a little disappointing with 2 losses and 1 draw for the first round against each club. I have every confidence the form will improve for the return matches however – and two of them will be at home so that should help!
Next week is the semi-finals of our Premier League with “Squirters” up against “Albatross” and “Hit and Miss” against “Fairways to Heaven”. Good luck girls!
