As summer draws to a close we have had another great week culminating in the monthly medal on Saturday and the annual Hospital Auxiliary Golf day on Sunday.
TUESDAY – Stroke Competition
A small field of 19 played in a stroke competition with some good scores and a very tight result with 5 players finishing within 2 shots of each other
1st Mike Irwin Net 71 (h/c 26)
2nd Peter Barnes Net 73 (h/c 15) on a count back
3rd Malcolm Griffiths Net 73 (h/c 18) on a count back
The line balls went to the other 3 players who also scored 73 points, well done to Mike.
THURSDAY – Stableford
Once again there was a terrific field of 67 who fronted the starter on Thursday with once again some terrific scores
A Grade

2nd Jarrod Heath 38 points (h/c 7) on a count back

B Grade
1st Justin Sargent 37 points (h/c 20) on a count back

A great round by James and well done to Mike Irwin again who has had a great week collecting a first and second place in the 2 mid week competitions.
SATURDAY – Monthly Medal – Stroke
A large field of 51 contested the monthly medal that was sponsored by the Bonnie Doon Caravan Park, thanks to our club President Dave Octigan for his continued support.

Dion had a great round and is the February Monthly Medal Winner. A special mention to Trent Berry who is one of our young members who has now won his first competition all be it in B grade, well done Trent, keep it up and we hope to see you more often and watch in anticipation of your handicap falling in the future. Mark Jones won the J.D. Perks scratch trophy (again)
The week concluded on Sunday with the annual Hospital Auxiliary Golf Day, well done to the girls from the auxiliary who had 132 playing and nearly 200 for dinner. It will be interesting to see how much money they raised for the hospital
