  • “Golf Ladies Returning Home!”

The ladies fields are starting to grow now that some of our ladies are returning from their travels away from Mansfield’s winter.

Anne Watkins maintained her position as most consistent winner for Tuesday’s Stableford.  Anne won with 12 points on a countback from Pam Abbott and Glenis Skinner.

We had 17 ladies play Stableford on Wednesday.  Nikki Coffey took out the win with 32 points from Linda Terry 31 points.  Line balls went down to 26 for Robyn Baker, Sue Parsons, Donna Sedgman, Anne Watkins, Marion Sargeant and Lorraine Cullen.

The Club Professional is always thinking of new challenges for his Pro Comp.  This week Robyn Baker won the most two pointers on even holes (how did Dan figure that out!), there were two divisions for the closest chip, won by Sue Wilson and Anne Watkins and Sue Parsons won both nearest the pins on 3rd and 16th.  Great accuracy Sue.

No-one played Thursday’s Stableford however we had 18 ladies play in the mixed Ambrose for President’s Day on Saturday.

Lesley Anderson and her partner Rod Sargent won the day with an impressive net 62.5.  Robyn Baker and Phil Conway were runners up with net 67.

Line balls were won by Donna Sedgman, Sue Parsons, Gayle Wells, Lorraine Cullen, Marion Sargeant and Linda Terry.

It was a great day and well supported by members of the Club.

Ladies, don’t forget Golf Premier League starts next Wednesday and it helps to have at least two members of your team to play.  Good luck.
