THERE is run on the course and a spring in golfers’ footsteps as the course dries out.

Tuesday’s nine hole stableford was won by Wendy Hunt on a countback from Margaret Gray.

Wednesday was the date for the ladies AGM, but before the meeting, the ladies had a chance to play 18 holes of Canadian Foursomes followed by a delicious lunch.

Two competitions ran, a nine hole and an 18 hole.

Winners of the nine hole were Anne Watkins and Kay Rose.

The 18 hole comp was taken out by Lesley Anderson and Robyn Baker from Marg Franke-Williams and Alison Mackenzie.

Nearest the pins were Sargeant and Comerford on the third and Parsons and Foster on the seventh.

The putting was won by Wells and Breadon and the shootout by Cummings and Knapp.

Line balls went to Mitchell and Holland, Harkin and Smiles, Bailey and Skinner and Terry and Hunt.

The AGM introduced the committee for 2017, as well as informing members about the year past.(see story P ????)

In Thursday’s nine hole, Sue Parsons won the day with 17 points, on a countback from Donna Sedgman and Andrea Marsden.

Saturday’s 18 hole event was won by Millie Cumming with 34 points.

Last Friday was Trade Day, a time for the tradies and their mates to play 18 holes, catch up over a few cold ones, and raise money for the hospital.

There was a very big field of gentlemen, who were joined by four very brave ladies for the day.

Hats off to Gayle Wells, Donna Sedgman, Shirley Nolan and Lyn Holland, who bravely went where no other woman would dare to go.
