    A big congratulations go to David Octigan upon finally losing his Thursday bridesmaid tag.

    Now for this week’s results.

    Tuesday event saw a very hardy and wet field of 7 hardy players fronting for a par event.

    The winner was Sam Sandhu (21) with plus 2. Ball rundown went to minus 2. Nearest the pin on the 9th was Brad Grant, on the 16th was Taki Murakami. Best score holes 13 – 18 was Paul Norris and the Pro pin on the 3rd went to Taki Murakami.

    Thursday’s event saw a field of 32 fronting the starter for the regular Stableford event, with preferred lies being the order of the day. There were also four combatants in the “GOLD” event.

    The winner was David Octigan (11) with 37 points, whilst Chris Anderson (19) was runner up with 36 points.

    Ball run down went 32 pts.

    Nearest the pins were Roger Eddy on the 7th, Tom Jemison on the 9th, Geoff Payne on the 12th and Chris Anderson on the 16th. Oliver Pearson took out the pro pin on the 3rd. Damien Ryan won the NTP second shot on the 18th. The other prizes were Nearest the Pin 2nd shot on the 17th, being won by David Octigan, third shot on the 15th going to Oliver Pearson and best score on the odd holes went to Gary Johnson.

    The rabbits for the day were Adam Holt and Phil Conway.

    Saturday’s event saw a 4BBB Stableford being held. Despite the fact a small field attended the event, some great scores were returned.

    The winners for the day were Dick Gridley (15) and Rob Healy (18) with 44 points. The runners-up were Ross Penny (8) and Peter Dolling (20) with 43 points on a countback. Line balls went to the pairings of Geoff Morris and Bill Parsons as well as Gary Johnson and Charlie Heath.

    Nearest the pin on the 9th was Charlie Heath and on the 16th was Steve Daykin.

    The Pro pin on the 3rd was won by Millie Cumming, and the Nearest the Pin 2nd shot on the 10th was Mark Bettany.

    Tip for this week: Something picked up from watching the British Open, when the wind is breezy, then swing EASY.
