Men’s Golf Report – Week ending 29th September 2019

Midweek Results
Tuesday’s event saw a field of 24 players out contesting a par event.
The winner was Peter Sargent (20) with a great score of plus three from Geoff Brown (10) with plus two. Ball rundown went to minus one on a countback. Nearest the pin on the third was both Peter Sargent and Adam Holt, whilst on the seventh was Adam Holt. The NTP second shot on the tenth was Geoff Brown, whilst on the eighteenth NTP third shot was Mark Jones.

Thursday’s event saw a great field of 80 very happy souls fronting the starter for the regular Stableford event with some great scores being returned. There were three gold participants.
The winner of Division One was Phil Conway (13) with 38 points from Mark Hughson (13) with 37 points. The winner of Division Two was Sam Sandhu (18) with 41 points from Graham Mear (16) with 39 points.
The winner of Division Three was Ken Fisher (33) with 38 points on a countback from Perrin Gooding (29) also with 38 points.
Ball run down went 34 points on a countback. Nearest the pins were Bill Parsons on the third, Tony Crawford on the seventh, Scott Ashby on the ninth, Tony Crawford on the twelfth and Phil Conway on the sixteenth. Nearest the pin second shot on the eighteenth went to Shaun Wade and Geoff Brown collected the NTP second shot on the eighteenth.
There were 2 rabbits for the day, being Bob Cullen and a golfer.
The Gold event saw Geoff Lowry (28) again winning with a score of 38 points.

Saturday’s event saw a field of 15 pairs contesting the pre Grand Final 2 person Ambrose.
The winners were Brad Grant and Shaun Wade with a nett 62 from Alan Eustace and Bob Speed with a 62.25 nett. Ball run down went to nett 68.25 on a countback. Nearest the pins were Bob Speed and Alan Eustace on the third, Mark Bettany and Steve Chisholm on the seventh, Geoff Brown and Adam Holt on the ninth, Steve O’Sullivan on the twelfth and Shaun Wade and Brad Grant on the sixteenth. Nearest the pin second shot on the tenth for H’cap 1-6 was Mick Harrison and Tony Crawford, and for H’cap 7+ it was Alan Parrott and Sam Sandhu. Nearest the pin second shot on the eighteenth H’cap 1-6 were Mic Davis and Phil Conway and for H’cap 7+ it was Bob Speed and Alan Eustace.
