Autumn In Wangaratta

Monday was a perfect day in Wangaratta – mild, sunny skies and calm. A good contingent of 10 Mansfield players took on a course with plenty of run on the fairways and some challenging greens.

Scores were mixed, with Dave Smithwick, fresh from his outstanding win in the Neely Singles matchplay, continuing his run of good form. Dave came second in the A grade competition, with a fine 38 points.

The bus pool was hotly contested with John Hawkes, Peter Smiles and Paul Norris sharing the kitty with 34 points each.

The May event will be at Mansfield on Monday 30th May. It would be good to have a record turnout by Mansfield Vets to share our local knowledge of the course with our visitors.
