• Beechworth Veterans Tournament 28th May

Two brave souls toured to Beechworth Golf CLub last month to try their luck on the sandscrape course.  Both came home winners, but Ken Fisher managed to take the major prize in C Grade with 36 points.  That was a very good score on the day, as the best in any division was 37.  The course was “interesting” and proved quite a challenge for most golfers, with some pretty ordinary scores registered.  Geoff Brown won a nearest the pin, so both of us came home happy enough.  Next event is a 4BBB at Howlong on Monday 25th, followed by the Corowa event 30th July, which will be a shotgun start at 10.30am, and they have a good challenging course there to try your luck on.    Entries close for that on 20th July.  Good golfing.
