  • The Midweek results

    Tuesday’s event saw a field of twenty-eight players out on the park to play a par event.
    The winner was Bob Speed (25) with plus four on a countback from Peter Dolling (21) also with plus four. Ball rundown went to square on a countback. Nearest the pins were on the third was Peter Baddeley, on the sixteenth was Shane O’Brien and the NTP second shot on the eighteenth was Paul Cougle.

    The Wednesday twilight competition was also a par event on the front nine. The winner was Jarrod Heath with plus three from Mic Davis with plus two.

    Thursday’s event was a stableford competition with seventy-one players competing.
    The winner of Division One was Peter Vallance (5) with a fantastic 43 points from Martin Slack (11) with 40 points.
    The winner of Division Two was Phillip Corr (20) with 38 points on a countback from Peter Baddeley (14) also with 38 points.
    The winner of Division Three was John Hickey (23) with 39 points from Tom Swan (25) with 36 points.
    Ball run down went to 34 points on a countback.
    Nearest the pins on the par threes were on the third Martin Slack, on the seventh was Michael Grimes, on the ninth was Martin Slack, the twelfth was Michael Harrison and on the sixteenth was Phil Conway. Closest second shot on the eighteenth was Michael Harrison, whilst on the seventeenth it was Cec McIntosh. The closest third shots were on the tenth Peter Hunt and on the fifteenth Dave Octigan came up trumps.
    There were two rabbits for the day, and they were Mic Davis and Bill Moran.

    The Weekend Results

    Saturday saw a stroke competition being conducted with thirty-eight players competing.
    The winner was Dion Sheahan (9) with a nett 71 from Dennis Sheahan (21) with a nett 73.
    Line balls went to nett 77 on a countback.
    Nearest the pins on the par threes were on the third Dennis Sheahan, on the seventh was Tony Morse, on the ninth was Sam Sandhu, the twelfth was Oliver Pearson and on the sixteenth was Mark Bettany. Closest second shot on the eighteenth was Rod Sargent. The hidden holes were cleaned up by Tony Morse.

    Sunday was the start of the pennant season.
    The scratch team played Thurgoona at Wodonga and squared two and a half wins each.
    The handicap team battled against Beechworth at home and won 5-nil
