• Ladies Golf Report – Week ending 11th August 2019

  • Golf is supposed to be a winter sport, but the more the temperatures drop, understandably, so do our player numbers!

On Tuesday, just 3 ladies braved the elements with Glenis Skinner winning with a nice 16. Well done to regulars Pam Abbott and Lorraine Wilson for turning up however!

Wednesday saw 10 ladies braving the cold and a return to Wednesday golf by Vice Captain, Sheryl Sargent. The work commitments keeping her away for quite a few weeks certainly did no harm, as she was in great form, taking out the day with a fantastic nett 70 – a top score in winter conditions! Runner up was Lorraine Cullen with 76 and line balls to Louise Calvert-Jones (79), Glenis Skinner (79) and Linda Brook (81). NTP on the 16th was visitor from Royal Melb, Amanda Hall, the chipping was won by Louise Calvert-Jones and the putting by Sheryl Sargent.
Saturday was just too cold for anyone! The planned Professionals day unfortunately needed to be cancelled due to impending rain. Sue Parsons and I at least had a social round, but there were no takers for a comp.!
