  • A BIG congratulations to Beau Purcell on winning the Horns-Up Sponsored March Monthly Medal on Saturday.

A quick quote for this week-

The moment the average golfer attempts to play from long grass or a bunker or from a difficult lie of any kind, he becomes a digger instead of a swinger”.  – Bobby Jones

On Friday Jarrod Heath and Brad Grant contested the final of the J.D. Neely singles matchplay. Jarrod came out the winner with a 6/5 victory.

On Sunday the Men’s Handicap Pennant team had a loss against Rutherglen at Benalla 3 and 2.

A quick tip for this week: Practicing with a short, lofted club encourages better posture and cleaner ball striking. Everybody gains confidence in seeing a nice high ball flight. Too little loft encourages golfers too use a destructive scooping action to get the ball upwards.

    Upcoming events:-

Saturday April 1 – 4BBB Stableford, combined with the Parsons Father and Son and Family golf events.

Saturday April 8 – KJ Evans Men’s and Ladies 27 Hole Foursomes.
