    Tuesday’s stableford event had a field of 30 players fronting the starter.

    The winner was Dion Sheahan (14) with a great 39 points from “bridesmaid” Dave Octigan (12) with 38 points. Ball rundown went to 31 points on a countback. Nearest the pin went to Brad Grant on the 7th, Dave Octigan on the 9th and Sam Sandhu on the 16th.  The Pro pin on the 3rd went to George Siperki from Jubilee. The novelty event of nett 2’s went to Oliver Pearson, Dion Sheahan and George Siperki x 2.

     

    Thursday’s Stableford event attracted a field of 54 players fronting the starter. The Gold Event had five contestants.

    The Division 1 winner was Michael Harrison (4) with a great score of 40 points (even par for the round) from Mark Bettany (5) with 38 points. The winner of Division 2 was Neil O’Halloran (33) with an excellent score of 47 points from Kevin Jacobs (27) with 41 points. Ball run down went to 34 points on a countback. Nearest the on the 7th was Adrian Smith, 9th was Allan Agar, 12th was Adam Holt and the 16th Roger Eddy. Fred Rogers collected the pro pin on the 3rd, and the nearest the pin 2nd shot on 18 was won by Rob Healy.

    The following novelty events were decided,

    2nd shot on the 1st went to Mike Harrison, 2nd shot on the 8th went to Alan Parrott, 2nd shot on the 10th went to Mark Bettany whilst the 2nd shot on the 17th went Brad Grant. The birdie holes this week were on 12, 14 and 16. They were won by Jarrod Heath and Brad Grant on 12, and Roger Eddy and Mark Bettany on 16.

    The rabbits this week are Geoff Morris and Ray Findlay.

    The Gold Course was won by Graham Smith (30) with a score of 41 points from Frank Zeidler (25) with 38 points. Ball rundown went to 37 points on a countback.

     

    Weekend Results

    Saturday saw a field of 48 players contesting the Gentsomes stableford event.

    The winners were the team of Dave Octigan, Nick Jones, Greg Millott and Keith Millott with a great score of 103 points. Runners Up were the team of Mark Bettany, Mark Jones, Kane Blunt and Tim Rielly with a score of 99 points. Ball rundown went to 94 points on a countback. The nearest the pins were on the 9th Phil Conway, 12th Geoff Brown and the 16th Ross Penny. There was two Pro pins, the 3rd was won by Geoff Brown and the seventh was won by Mark Pearson.

    • Play away from trouble – lay up when it makes sense & helps you avoid the big number
    • Practice the most important shot in golf – the 3 to 4 foot putt!
    • To improve, try to play with better players
    • Fully commit to your shots and then just execute!
    • Play one shot at a time – stay in the present
    • Develop a safety shot that you can rely upon when the wheels start coming off
