• Men’s Golf Report – Week ending February 12th 2018

    Now for this week’s results.

     

    Tuesday’s event saw 29 players out participating for a par event.

    The winner was Steve McMahon (5) with a great plus 5 on a countback from Brad Grant (9).

    Ball rundown went to plus 1. Nearest the pin on the seventh was Peter Baddeley, on the ninth was Steve McMahon and on the 16th was Nick Siperki. Nearest the Pin second shot on the 18th went to Steve McMahon whilst the pro pin was collected by Beau Purcell. Best score on the par threes went to Taki Murakami, and best score holes 7-12 was cleaned up by John Hayes.

     

    Wednesday’s nine hole event was a stableford event, with Mark Jones turning the tables on Jimmy Herridge to win on a countback with 19 points.

     

    Thursday’s event saw a great field of 74 happy golfers fronting the starter for the regular Stableford event with some hot scores being returned. There was one player competing in the gold event.

    The winner of Division One was Clive Marsden (13) with a fantastic 44 points from Tony Pridham (12) with 43 points.

    The winner of Division Two was Gary Johnson (17) with 42 points from Adam Holt (20) with 41 points.

    The Division Three winner was Kevin Jacobs (31) with 42 points from John Hayes (34) with 38 points.

    Ball run down went 36 points on a countback. Nearest the pins were Brad Grant on the seventh, Allan Agar on the ninth, Jarrod Heath on the 12th and Maurie Walsh on the 16th, and Steve Daykin collected the NTP on the 18th.  The Pro Pin on the third was collected by Peter Morgan. Best score holes 7-12 was shared by Clive Marsden and Gary Johnson, whilst holes 13-18 was shared between Adam Holt and Steve McMahon.

    The rabbits were Adrian Smith and Rod Sargent.

    The Gold event saw Keith Millott (33) win with 22 points.

     

    Saturday’s event saw a field of 34 players out contesting a stableford event.

    The winner was Terry Jones (28) with 41 points from Mark Pearson (10) with 37 points. Ball rundown went to 35 points on a countback. Nearest the pin on the seventh was Sam Sandhu, on the ninth was Laurie Harcus, on the twelfth was Patrick Marks and on the sixteenth was Dan Robertson. The pro pin on the third went to Steve Chisholm with Alan Eustace collecting the NTP 2nd shot on 18th.  Two’s on par threes were won by Patrick Marks, Dan Robertson, Simon Rouget and Peter Vallance. Best score on holes 13-18 was shared by Patrick Marks and Chris Leaman.

    Sunday 25th February – Hospital Golf and Lunch Day.
