Men’s Golf Report – Week ending 3rd December 2017

Congratulations this week go to the winning Holden Scramble team of Tony Cooksey, Dean Grining, Craig Walsh and Ben Martin.

 

Now for this week’s results.

Tuesday’s event saw a Geoff Morris (21) with a fantastic score of plus ten from Shaun Wade (13) with an excellent plus nine.

Ball rundown went to plus one. Nearest the pin on the seventh was Sam Sandhu, on the 16^th was Geoff Morris. There were two Pro pins, on the third it was Shaun Wade and on the ninth was Steve McMahon. The best score on holes 1-6 was Shaun Wade.

 

 

Thursday’s event saw a field of 112 very happy and contented souls fronting the starter for a return of the Holden Scramble Ambrose sponsored by Dion Theodossi and Martin’s Garage.

The winning team of Tony Cooksey, Dean Grining, Craig Walsh and Ben Martin with a nett 52.375, which was a gross core of 57 and they are now off to the regional finals in February next year.

Runners up were the team of Andrew Sanderson (Northern), Neville Allan (Yarrawonga), Craig Pearson (Northern) and Jason Dowling (The Social Golf Club) with a nett 55.25 on a countback from Phil Ockwell, Glen Ryan, Gary Walder (all Jubilee) and Phil Conway.

Nearest the pins for the ladies were: Marion Sargent on the third, Gayle Wells on the seventh and twelfth, Sue Parsons on the ninth and Sam Bailey on the sixteenth. For the gents the winners were Shaun Wade on the third, Tony Cooksey on the seventh, Peter Baddeley on the ninth, Brian Hollins on the twelfth and Rod Sargent on the sixteenth.

 

Owing to the rather inclement weather on Friday night and Saturday morning there was no competition held on Saturday.

A few notes of upcoming events.

The Hew Blunt Memorial 3 person Ambrose has been POSTPONED to the 9^th December.

Sunday 10^th December – Kid’s XMAS Party Noon – 3pm.
