    MEMBERS NEWSLETTER
    28th March 2020 Mansfield Golf Club –
FULL COURSE CLOSURE To all members and guests,
Please be advised that the Mansfield Golf course is now closed for use, as are all practice facilities.
Playing of golf, including social and practice, is now PROHIBITED until further notice.
We have now received instruction from Golf Australia that their attempts to negotiate with the relevant Ministers to have golf courses exempt has been unsuccessful and Victorian golf courses are now required to close.
The Board is obliged to do this under the following Victorian Stage 2 COVID-19 Chief Medical Officer directives:
    • Non-Essential Activity Direction, and
    • Prohibited Gatherings Direction

The closure order is in effect until 13th April 2020 however it is anticipated that this will be extended out.
In the meantime the course will go into “maintenance mode” so that once restrictions are lifted the course can be brought back to its current great condition as soon as possible.
The Board sincerely hopes that members respect this request and if you are tempted to sneak onto the course for a hit then be responsible and please don’t.

Mansfield Golf Club is committed to protecting the health of our members and staff, as best we can, so stay safe and healthy.
We all hope the duration of the restrictions is as short as possible.
    We appreciate your understanding.
