• Men’s Golf Report – Week ending 28th July 2019

  • The Midweek results

    Tuesday had a field of only eight players competing in a stableford event.
    The winner was Brendan Egan (16) with 36 points from Bill Taylor (25) with 32 points. Owing to the size of the filed there were no novelty prizes.

    Thursday’s event saw the regular Stableford event being conducted with fifty-one players in the competition. The winner of Division One was Dean Seccull (16) with a great 44 points from Rob Healy (18) with 41 points.
    The winner of Division Two was Kerry Hartwig (20) with 38 points from Dave Haslam (27) with 37 points. Ball run down went 34 points on a countback. Nearest the pins were Peter Vallance on the third, Tony Pridham on the seventh, Laurie Harcus on the ninth, Mark Bettany on the twelfth and Chris Leaman on the sixteenth. Nearest the pin second shot on the eighteenth was collected by Trevor West and closest to the pin second shot on the tenth was Blair St Anne.
    The Gold event was won by Keith Millott (33) with 27 points.
    There were two rabbits for the day, being Bill Parsons and Martin Slack (again).

    The Weekend results

    Saturday’s event was a regular Stableford round with twenty-nine competitors. The winner was Peter Dolling (24) with 40 points from Shaun Wade (6) with 37 points. Line balls went down to 31 points on a countback.
    Nearest the pin on the third was Brad Grant, on the ninth was Simon Rowell and on the sixteenth was Shaun Wade. The nearest the pin second shot on the eighteenth was Brad Grant. The best on the Par 3’ and 5’s combined was Rob Healy.
