• Men’s Golf Report – Week ending 27th May 2018

    Now for this week’s results.

    Tuesday’s event saw 20 players out participating for a stableford event.

    The winner was Beau Purcell (24) with 38 points from Laurie Harcus (22) with 36 points.

    Ball rundown went to 35 on a countback. Nearest the pin on the third was Alan Eustace and on the sixteenth was Adrian Smith. Nearest the pin second shot on the seventeenth was Bob Thomson.

     

     

    Thursday’s event saw a great field of 57 golfers fronting the starter for the regular Stableford event with some great scores being returned. There were four players competing in the gold event.

    The winner of Division One was Sam Sandhu (18) with a great 45 points from Taki Murakami (13) with 42 points.

    The winner of Division Two was Frank Zeidler (30) also with a great 44 points from Laurie Harcus (22) with 37 points.

    Ball run down went 34 points on a countback. Nearest the pins were Taki Murakami on the third, Steve Chisholm on the seventh, Alan Agar on the ninth, Geoff Brown on the twelfth and Adam Holt on the sixteenth, and Keith Murphy collected the NTP on the eighteenth. Tony Crawford collected NTP second shot on the seventeenth, and Nick Siperki collected NTP third shot on the fifteenth.

    The rabbits were Mike Harrison and Les Wood.

    The Gold event saw Peter Healy (31) win with 35 points.

     

    Saturday’s event saw a field of 37 players out contesting the May Monthly Medal with some interesting pin placements.

    The winner of the medal and daily competition was Graham Mear (23) with a nett 71 from Paul Richardson (19) with a nett 72.

    Ball rundown went to nett 76 on a countback. Nearest the pin on the third was Tony Crawford, on the seventh was Chris Leaman, on the ninth Oliver Shaw, on the twelfth was Michael Cooksey and on the sixteenth was Peter Vallance. Oliver Shaw collected the NTP 2nd shot on tenth with an eagle.  The third shot on the fifteenth was Brad Grant, whilst the second shot on the seventeenth went to Guy Barbuto.
