• Men’s Golf Report Week Ending 26th January 2019

    The Midweek Results
    Tuesday saw a stableford event being conducted with 26 players participating.
    The winner of was Beau Purcell (28) with a great 43 points from Shane O’Brien (18) with 42 points. Ball rundown went to 36 points on a countback. Nearest the pins were on the third Trevor Wright and on the sixteenth was Tony Crawford. The Hidden holes winner was Bill Taylor.

    Thursday’s event saw a field of 44 happy and smiling souls fronting the starter for the regular Stableford event, along with one Gold competitor.
    The winner of Division One was Adam Holt (13) with 40 points on a countback from Dan Robertson (0) also with 40 points. (Dan was four under the card)
    The winner of Division Two was Dave Waterton (36) with a great 45 points from Nathan Pelling (25) with 41 points.
    The gold event was won by Geoff Lowry (29) with 44 points.
    Ball run down went 34 points on a countback. Nearest the pins were Keith Murphy on the third, Tony Crawford on the seventh, Nick Siperki on the ninth, Rod Sargent on the twelfth and Adam Holt on the sixteenth, and nearest the pin second shot on the 18th went to John Koraus. The hidden holes were shared by Dan Robertson and Martin Slack, with the nearest the pin third shot on fifteen going to Tony Crawford. Nearest the pin third shot on the tenth for handicaps nineteen plus went to Nick Jones.
    There were 2 rabbits for the day being Adrian Smith and Ray Findlay.

    The Weekend Results

    The January Monthly Medal, sponsored by Adam Holt and Dan Robertson was contested by a field of 71 players.
    The winner of Division One and the medal was Tony Pridham (10) with a fantastic nett 65 from Darren Spicer (11) with a nett 67 on a countback.
    Division Two was won by Michael Cooksey (14) with a nett 67 from Rob Healy (16) with a nett 68.
    And Division Three was won by Bill Moran (29) with a nett 66 from Beau Christopher (26) with a nett 67.
    Ball run down went to nett 73 on a countback. Nearest the pins were Darren Spicer on the third, Tony Crawford on the seventh, Phil Conway on the ninth, Rod Sargent on the twelfth and Chris Lloyd on the sixteenth. The nearest the pin second shot on the 18th was claimed by Rob Healy. NTP third shot on the fifteenth was Dan Robertson, NTP third shot H’caps 22+ on the tenth was Beau Christopher. The best scratch score was taken out by Tony Crawford.
