    Congratulations this week go to Aaron Sargent for his great 45 points in last Thursday’s competition.

    Now for this week’s results:

    Tuesday’s event saw 29 players out participating for a stableford event.

    The winner was Chris Purcell (30) with a great 42 points from Bob Speed (24) with 40 points.

    Ball rundown went to 37 on a countback. Nearest the pin on the third was John Hayes and on the seventh was David Kynnersley. Best scores holes 7-12 was shared by five players.

    Wednesday’s nine hole event was a stableford event on the front nine.

    The winner was Jimmy Herridge (29) with 24pts and runner up was Bob Speed (24) with 20pts.

    Thursday’s event saw a great field of 58 golfers fronting the starter for the regular Stableford event with some hot scores being returned. There were three players competing in the gold event.

    The winner of Division One was Rod Sargent (5) with a fantastic 43 points (2 under the card) on a countback from Trevor Wright (21) also with 43 points.

    The winner of Division Two was Aaron Sargent (31) with another fantastic score of 45 points from Geoff Lowry (36) with 42 points.

    Ball run down went 38 points on a countback. Nearest the pins were Geoff Payne on the third, Rod Sargent on the seventh, Peter Vallance on the ninth, Stephen Cooksey on the twelfth and Rod Sargent on the sixteenth, and Brad Grant collected the NTP on the eighteenth. Best score on holes 1-6 went to Keith Murphy and Rod Sargent collected NTP third shot on the second.

    The rabbits were Adam Holt and Mick Grimes.

    The Gold event saw Les Wood (33) win with 35 points.

    Saturday’s event saw a field of 44 players attempt to contest the March medal.

    With the weather unfortunately intervening in play, it was decided to cancel the Monthly Medal competition and have a contest for those who played in the morning.

    The winner was Bob Speed (24) with a great score of nett 66 from Trevor Wright (20) with a nett 67.

    Nearest the pin on the third was Phil Conway, on the seventh was Mark Pearson, on the ninth was Phil Conway, on the twelfth was Mark Jones and on the sixteenth was Bob Speed. Bill Parsons collected the NTP 2nd shot on 18th. NTP 2nd shot on the 17th was won by Sam Sandhu.

    On Sunday the scratch pennant lost 4 to 1 to Thurgoona at Yarrawonga with three matches going down at the 18th hole, and the handicap team had a bye.

    Saturday 14th April   – Stroke – MARCH Monthly Medal.

    Presentation of the Course Management Plan will take place at the clubhouse on Thursday 29th March at 5.30pm. Paul from Pacific Coast Deign will provide a complete rundown of all holes during this time.
