    On Monday our trainee professional Blair St Anne ventured down to Geelong for the latest round of trainee professional qualifying. He shot a creditable 4 over on the day to continue his ambition of becoming a pro golfer. Good luck in your next round mate at Mornington on Monday.

    Tuesday’s event saw a field of 20 players out playing a stableford competition.
    The winner was Beau Purcell (29) with 41 points from Kerry Hartwig (20) with 40 points. Ball rundown went to 32 points on a countback. Nearest the pin on the third was Rob Dundas and on the sixteenth it was Kerry Hartwig.

    The Wednesday twilight competition had a stroke event on the front nine with thirty-two competitors. The winner was David Kirley with a nett 35 from Josh Foots with a nett 36.

    Thursday’s event saw field of seventy-eight golfers fronting the starter for the regular Stableford event in warm conditions, along with three competitors in the gold event.
    The winner of Division One was David Octigan (14) with 39 points from Taki Murakami (11) with 38 points.
    The winner of Division Two was Cec McIntosh (17) with 39 points from Michael Grimes (17) with 39 points on a countback.
    The winner of Division Three was Trevor West (27) with 37 points from Perrin Gooding (30) with 36 points.
    Ball run down went 33 points on a countback.
    The Gold event was won by Les Wood (36) with 29 points.
    Nearest the pins were Aaron Madsen on the third, Maurie Walsh on the seventh, Mark Pearson on the ninth, Rod Sargent on the twelfth and Peter Vallance on the sixteenth. NTP second shot on the eighteenth was Peter Dolling. The NTP third shot on the fifteenth was Rob Dundas, whilst the NTP second shot for handicaps 12 to 23 on the seventh was Geoff Morris. There were two rabbits for the day, and they were Adrian Smith and Graham Scott.

    The Weekend Results

    Saturday’s event was a par competition, with 50 players competing.
    The winner of Division One was Michael Cooksey (11) with plus six from Oliver Pearson (+2) with plus three (three under the card).
    The winner of Division Two was Fred Rogers (17) with plus seven from Adrian Smith (22) with plus four.
    Ball run down went to minus two points on a countback.
    Nearest the pins on the par threes were on the third Alan Parrott, on the seventh was Rod Sargent, on the ninth was John McCaskill, the twelfth was Mark Jones and on the sixteenth was Nick Wilcox. Closest second shot on the eighteenth was Fred Rogers. The NTP third shot on the fifteenth was Blair St Anne, whilst the second shot on the seventeenth for handicaps 12 to 23 was Graham Clarke. The NTP third shot on the tenth for handicaps 24 to 36 was Neil Walker.
