• Men’s Golf Report – Week ending 15th December 2019

  • The Midweek results

    Tuesday’s event saw a field of 15 players out contesting a stroke event.
    The winner was Graham Smith (34) with a great nett 66 from Nick Siperki (16) with a nett 68. Ball rundown went to nett 74 on a countback. Nearest the Pin on the third was Peter Baddeley, whilst on the sixteenth it was Taki Murakami. Peter Baddeley was NTP second shot on the eighteenth, and the hidden holes went to Nick Siperki.

    The Wednesday twilight competition had a par event on the back nine with 31 competitors. The winner was Phil Conway with plus 2 from Brad Grant.

    Thursday’s event saw field of seventy golfers fronting the starter for the regular Stableford event in warm conditions, along with three competitors in the gold event.
    The winner of Division One was Steve Chisholm (16) with 40 points from Phil Conway (13) with 39 points.
    The winner of Division Two was John Hickey (27) with 41 points from Bill Taylor (25) with 39 points.
    Ball run down went 36 points on a countback.
    The Gold event was won by Geoff Lowry (28) with 40 points.
    Nearest the pins were Nick Jones on the third, Mark Jones on the seventh, Mark Bettany on the ninth, Charlie Heath on the twelfth and Graham Clarke on the sixteenth. NTP second shot on the eighteenth was Steve Chisholm. The NTP third shot on the fifteenth was Tony Pridham, whilst the NTP third shot on the tenth for handicaps 21+ was Daryl Horwood. There were two rabbits for the day, and they were Rod Sargent and Dave Octigan.

    Brad Grant ripping into a drive on Saturday

    Saturday’s event saw a field of 42 players contesting a stableford event in windy conditions.
    The winner of Division One was Mark Pearson (12) with a great score of 44 points from Brad Grant (8) with 39 points.
    The winner of Division Two was Steve Daykin (19) also with a great 44 points from Rob Healy (19) with 42 points.
    Ball run down went to 37 points on a countback.
    Nearest the pin on the third was Steve McMahon, on the seventh was Steve Daykin, on the ninth was Tony Crawford, and the twelfth was Geoff Morris and on the sixteenth was Aaron Knight. Closest second shot on the eighteenth was Blair St Anne. The hidden holes was won by Mark Pearson, and the Best Score on Par three’s was Nick Siperki.
