• Men’s Golf Report – Week ending 15th April 2018

    This week’s results.

    Tuesday’s event saw 29 players out participating for a stableford event.

    The winner was Peter Dolling (23) with an excellent 42 points from Geoff Morris (17) with 37 points.

    Ball rundown went to 34 on a countback. Nearest the pin on the third was Bob Speed, on the seventh was Brad Grant, on the ninth was Sam Sandhu, on the twelfth was Geoff Morris and on the sixteenth was Sam Sandhu. Best scores holes 7-12 was shared by Peter Baddeley, Chris Purcell and Neil Walker.

     

    Thursday’s event saw a great field of 53 golfers fronting the starter for the regular Stableford event with some great scores being returned. There were two players competing in the gold event.

    The winner of Division One was David Octigan (14) with a great 43 points from Rod Sargent (4) with 40 points.

    The winner of Division Two was Adam Holt (19) with 42 points on a countback from Peter Smiles (22).

    Ball run down went 36 points on a countback. Nearest the pins were Oliver Shaw on the third, Adam Holt on the seventh, Brad Grant on the ninth, Oliver Shaw on the twelfth and Tony Pridham on the sixteenth, and John Gilson collected the NTP on the eighteenth.  Best score on holes 1-6 was shared by Perter Dolling and Peter Smiles. Oliver Shaw collected NTP second shot on the seventeenth.

    The rabbits were Rob Healy and Maurie Walsh.

    The Gold event saw Les Wood (33) win with 37 points from Keith Millott (33) with 33 points.

     

    Saturday’s event saw a field of players out contesting the rerun of the March Medal. Obviously the weather decide to do a rerun as well, as only ten players finished!

    The winner of the day and March Monthly medal was Rob Fankhauser (12) with a nett 69. Runner Up was Sam Sandhu (17) with a nett 72.

    Ball rundown went to nett 81. Nearest the pin on the third was Craig Walsh, on the seventh was Charles Robertson and on the sixteenth was Rob Dundas. Craig Walsh collected the NTP 2nd shot on 18th.  Best scores holes 7-12 was won shared by Rob Fankhauser and Sam Sandhu.

    On Sunday the scratch pennant squared 2 1/2 to 2 1/2 to Thurgoona (2) at Yarrawonga, and the handicap team defeated Benalla 4/1 at Tarrawingee..
