• Men’s Golf Report – Week ending 14th January 2018

  • With the great weather we are having the course has been full of golfers, and as a result some great scores have been returned.

    Congratulations go to Fraser Stevenson on his fantastic 46 points on Saturday.

    Results for the latest rounds of golf.

    Tuesday’s event saw a field of 38 players out contesting a stableford event.

    The winner was Michael Aistrope (11) with a great 40 points from Peter Baddeley (18) with 39 points. Ball rundown went to 37 points. Nearest the pins were Peter Baddeley on the ninth, Fred Rogers on the 16th and second shot on the 18th was Aaron Madsen. The Pro Pin on the third was won by Jarrod Heath, second shot on the tenth went to Domingo Diaz and Best Score holes 7-12 went to Robert Dundas.

     

    The Wednesday Daylight saving nine holes has resumed, with this week’s winner being Rod Sargent (6) with a great 22 points from Bob Speed (22) with 19 points on a countback.

     

    Thursday’s event saw a field of 74 happy and rather warm souls fronting the starter for the regular Stableford event, as well as five gold participants.

    The winner of Division One was Damian Ryan (16) with a great 42 points from Phil Conway (11) with 41 points.

    The winner of Division Two was Heinz Gogol (24) with a great 43 points from Brendan Egan (20) with 42 points.

    Division Three was taken out by Ross Vaughan (29) with a fantastic 44 points from Dave Wilson (29) with an equally impressive 42 points.

    Ball run down went 36 points on a countback. Nearest the pins were Peter Baddeley on the seventh, Len Foster on the ninth, Oliver Shaw on the 12th and Peter Dolling on the 16th, and nearest the pin second shot on the 18th went to Dave Wilson. The pro pin on the third went to Oliver Shaw. Second shot on the tenth was won by Charlie Heath, and Phil Conway collected the second shot on the seventeenth.

    There were 2 rabbits for the day with the winners being Neil Walker and John Christopher.

    The Gold event saw Peter Healy (31) continue his winning form with 43 points on a countback from Graeme Smith (29.

     

    Saturday’s event saw a field of 50 players contesting a stableford event.

    The winner of Division One was Clive Marsden (14) with 40 points from Chris Leaman (15) with 39 points.

    The winner of Division Two was Fraser Stevenson with a fantastic 46 points from Laurie Harcus (24) with an impressive 42 points.

    Ball run down went to 35 points on a countback. Nearest the pins were Alan Parrott on the seventh, Anthony Gedye on the ninth, Mark Bettany on the 12th and Dave Octigan on the 16th. The pro pin on the third went to Oliver Shaw. The nearest the pins second shuts were won Steve McMahon on the 18th, Nathan Kynnersley on the first and Alan Parrott on the tenth.
