  • The Midweek results

    Tuesday’s event saw a field of 25 players out contesting a stableford event.
    The winner was Brendan Egan (20) with fantastic 45 points from Steve O’Sullivan (12) with a 40 points. Ball rundown went to 33 points on a countback. Nearest the Pin on the third was Sam Sandhu, on the seventh was Bob Cullen, on the ninth was Brad Grant, the twelfth went to Steve O’Sullivan and on the sixteenth it was Brendan Egan.

    The Wednesday twilight competition had a stableford event on the front nine with 39 competitors. The winner was Peter Hood with 23 points on a countback.

    Thursday’s event saw field of ninety-one golfers fronting the starter for the regular Stableford event in warm conditions, along with two competitors in the gold event.
    The winner of Division One was Dan Robertson (1) with 41 points (four under the card) from Maurie Walsh (12) with 40 points.
    The winner of Division Two was Don Clutterbuck (22) with a mammoth 46 points from Trevor Wright (20) with 43 points.
    The winner of Division Three was Frank Zeidler (29) with 41 points from Warren Shepherd (36) with 40 points.
    Ball run down went 38 points on a countback.
    The Gold event was won by Geoff Lowry (29) with 39 points.
    Nearest the pins were Malcolm Griffiths on the third, Dave Waterton on the seventh, Glenn Douglas on the ninth, Peter Vallance on the twelfth and John Koraus on the sixteenth. NTP second shot on the eighteenth was Dan Robertson. The NTP third shot on the fifteenth was Dan Robertson, whilst the NTP third shot on the tenth for handicaps 21+ was Dale Daly. There were two rabbits for the day, and they were Adrian Smith and Rob Healy.

    The Weekend Results

    Saturday’s event saw a field of 46 players contesting a par event in windy conditions.
    The winner of Division One was Glen Douglas (16) with a great score of plus seven from Phil Conway (12) with plus six.
    The winner of Division Two was Greg Millott (25) with a good score of plus four on a countback from Nathan Polkinghorne (29) also with plus four.
    Ball run down went to square on a countback.
    Nearest the pins on the par threes were on the third Peter Vallance, on the seventh was Brad Grant, on the ninth was John Koraus, the twelfth was Phil Conway and on the sixteenth was Wayne Sargeant. Closest second shot on the eighteenth was Brad Grant. Closest third shot for handicap up to 18 on the fifteenth was Steve O’Sullivan and on the tenth for handicaps 19+ was Jeremy Veneman.

    On Sunday the men’s YSM Summer Pennant team ventured over to Tocumwal to take on our rival Benalla. Unfortunately a win was not to be, however Mark Jones and Mark Bettany went 23 holes to try and win their match, but lost very admirably.
