Mansfield Ladies Golf Report – Week Ending 12th January 2020

A great turnout of ladies for golf on Wednesday last week, perhaps partly due to how lovely it was to be out on our beautiful green course, which felt like an oasis after the difficult hot dry conditions of late. Once again, our thanks go to our ground staff for the fantastic job they do in maintaining our course so well, when mother nature dishes out her challenges. Winner of the stableford round was Sheryl Sargent with a fantastic 40 points. Runner up was Andrea Marsden 37 and line balls went to Donna Sedgman 32, Marion Mitchell 32, Nicki Cooper 31, Shelly Comerford 31, Lorraine Cullen 30 and Shirley Nolan 31. Nearest the pins went to Donna Sedgman on the 3rd, Millie Cumming on the 7th and Gayle Wells on the 16th. Closest 4th shot on the 15th was Andrea Marsden and closest 3rd on the 18th was Lyn Holland.
On Saturday the winner of the par event was Sue Parsons with -3 and runner up Linda Brook with -4 on a countback to Andrea Marsden.
The 9 hole rounds for the week were won by Patsy Smiles with 18 points on Tuesday and Anne Tilbrook also with 18 points on Thursday.
Ladies are reminded that pennant season is fast approaching and if they wish to take part, could they please ensure they put their name on the sheet in the locker room.
