Mansfield Ladies Golf Report

Our golfing week started out on Tuesday with another very good field of 13 playing their 9 hole stableford round. Winner overall and of Div 2 was Jenny Koraus with 16 points and runner up, Linda Brook with 15 points. In Div 1 the winner was Sheryl Sargent (15) and runner up Robyn Baker (14)
With one final bit of catching up to do after our enforced Covid break, Wednesday saw the ladies contesting our April Monthly Medal, sponsored by Edith and May. We had a fabulous field of 28 and the winner of the medal and Div 2, was Glenis Skinner with a lovely score of nett 72. Runner up in Div 2 was Lesley Anderson with nett 74. In Div 1, the win went to Gayle Wells on a countback from Shelly Comerford, both with nett 74. Balls went down the line to nett 79. The putting was won by Linda Terry and Norma Friday had the best score on the Par 3’s – great effort Norma!
On Saturday another great field of 20 played stroke again and the winner was Millie Cumming with nett 70, closely followed by Louise Calvert-Jones with nett 71 as runner up. Great scores ladies and lovely to see a return to form for both of you. Line balls went to Lyn Holland (73), Jenny Foster (74), Patsy Smiles (76), Donna Sedgman (77), Lesley Anderson (77) and Linda Terry (78). The putting spoils were shared by Robyn Baker, Millie Cumming and Sheryl Sargent.
This coming Saturday (20th June), the prestigious board event, the Glen Foursomes will be held. This is a 27 hole mixed handicap event held in honour of past life members Bill and Shirley Glen. We encourage all playing members to pair up with a partner and register for this event. If any ladies would like to play but do not have a partner, please let the Pro Shop know and they will help you find one!
