Mansfield Ladies Golf Report – 15th March 2020

Kicking off our golfing week on Tuesday, 10 ladies contested the 9 hole stableford round and the winners were Robyn Baker in Div 1 and Sue Wilson in Div 2, both with 17 points.
On Wednesday it was time for a (rarely played!) 2-person Ambrose and the winners were Sheryl Sargent and Louise Ramsay with 66.75 on a countback from Linda Terry, Nicki Cooper and Sam Bailey (playing as a 3-person with some adjustments!). 3rd were Sue Parsons and Anne Tilbrook. Line balls went to Anne Watkins/Glenis Skinner, Shirley Nolan/Sue Wilson, Robyn Baker/ Jean Rowling (visiting from Canada!), Donna Sedgman/Andrea Marsden, Millie Cumming/Patsy Smiles and Meg Broomfield/Lyn Poulson. Nearest the Pins went to Linda Brook on the 3rd and Linda Terry on the 16th and the pairing of Sue Parsons/Anne Tilbrook had the closest 4th shot on the 15th.
Thursdays George Walker round was won by Donna Sedgman with 19 points and Wendy Hunt took out Div 2 with 18 points.
No glory for our team playing in the Wangaratta Bowl on Friday but a good time was had by all in perfect conditions.
Pennant is fully up and running from this week with all divisions now playing. Div 1 will face off against Corowa at Commercial Albury, Div 2 against Black Bull at Thurgoona and Div 3 against Benalla at Howlong.
We also have had two pairs of ladies contesting the Vic Golf 4BBB finals at Sorrento and The National this week and hope there is some good news to report on that, in next weeks edition!
