Mansfield Golf Club Presentation Night – 27th October 2019

The Golf Club presentation night was held on Sunday 27th October at the conclusion of the 2019 Club Championships to congratulate all winners for the year.

The Men’s Champion this year is Mark Jones, and, the Ladies Champion is Marg Knapp.

The grade champions for the Ladies are, “B” grade – Millie Cumming and “C” grade is Marion Mitchell. For the men the “B” Grade Champion is Roger Eddy, “C” Grade is Adam Holt and “D” Grade is Fred Rogers.
Mark Jones also won the AG Redfern Medal of Medals and the Founders Trophy. Marg Knapp also won the Best Nett for the Ladies Champs as well as the over 70 Nett champion. The ladies Medal of Medals went to Sue Parsons.
The Parsons Family 4 Ball was won by Shirley Nolan and Clive Clarke, and Shirley won the Glen Foursomes with Graham Clarke. The KJ Evans scratch Foursomes for the ladies was won by Donna Sedgman and Andrea Marsden, whilst for the Men it was Mark Bettany and Rod Sargent.
The Bill Reardon Memorial Match Play went to Shelley Comerford for the ladies and Mic Davis for the men.
The best Handicap Improvement for the ladies in 2018/9 was Linda Brook.
The Ladies Medal Aggregate for the best four rounds went to Linda Terry, whilst JN Pickering for the men was won by Phil Conway.
Craig Walsh and Ben Martin won the Nolan 4 Ball match Play, whilst Rod Sargent was JD Neely singles winner.
All in all a great year was celebrated at the club.
