• Ladies Golf Report – Week ending September 2nd 2018

  • The ladies week of golf started with a Par 9 hole round with four ladies playing.

Anne Watkins won with a plus one score.

Wednesday’s Monthly Medal sponsored by Snowgum Nursery was closely contested by 16 ladies.  It seemed that most of the ladies had a win of some sorts.

Marion Mitchell won with a net 73 from Nikki Coffey on net 74.  Line balls were won by Linda Terry (75), Millie Cumming (76) Norma Friday (79) and Donna Sedgman (80).

Nearest the pins were Millie Cumming on both the 3rd and 16th and Nikki Coffey on 7th.

The Pro competition was also a close one with tied winners. The best score for holes 7-12 were Norma Friday, Millie Cumming and Marion Mitchell.

The best score for the Par 3’s were Lesley Anderson, Sam Bailey and Norma Friday.

Sue Parsons was the best 3rd shot on the 10th hole and Linda Terry won the putting.

The Stableford round on Thursday was a friendly between Anne Watkins and Pam Abbott with Anne winning with a great 19 points.

Saturday’s Stableford saw 9 ladies play despite the weather predictions.  It turned out to be a very mild and dry day.  The current conditions on the course must have suited Marion Mitchell as she had another win with 34 points from Shelly Comerford on 32 points.  Line balls went down to 24 and were won by Sue Parsons, Linda Terry, Millie Cumming and Donna Sedgman.

    Well played ladies.

Next Saturday is President’s Day and we hope to see as many ladies play as possible to support our Club President, Marion Sargeant.
